My story – gentledayuk

My story

The Gentle Day® story is about a woman, mother, and wife, who had a dream to improve women's lives when they are on their periods; it is a story about believing and achieving, about learning and improving.

10 years ago, in my mid-thirties, I discovered a type of sanitary pad that changed the way I felt during my period. No skin irritation, no cramps, no leaks. I was amazed. But this product was not available in Europe where I live. I made it my mission to get this product on the shelves back home, so more women could have a balanced and stress-free period. I became a woman entrepreneur (hahaha, never in my life did I think I would run a do business!) And that's how my journey began. In ten years, we've distributed our products to 15 European countries. From 2016, they have been available in the U.S. and Canada, and more recently in the Cayman Islands, the Bahamas, Barbados and Jamaica (under GENIAL DAY brand name).

How could I have ever imagined that our small family-owned business would reach the Bahamas?! But yet we have, and we strive to change millions more periods worldwide. Dreams do come true :)

Being quite artsy at heart, I managed to hold on to my creative side by developing new products, designing their packaging and marketing materials. In the last 10 years the GENTLE DAY® product range s has expanded from just 4 kinds of pads and liners to 7 kinds of pads and liners, as well as tampons, menstrual cups, wet wipes, intimate wash, and even EiVi by Genial Day underwear collection with the patented secret leak guard.

I love my job because I learn something new every day. But the biggest reward for my team and me is to receive THANK YOUs from our customers. I am humbled by the candour and generosity of women who share their thoughts about Gentle Day®. I feel really blessed that I can make this change in the lives of women and teens by bringing balance and harmony to their periods.
